Benefits:
• Improved speech understanding in group settings. • Significant benefit during an 8-person dinner party and in busy restaurants. • Better ability to follow conversations across a table. • Improved hearing during a 20-person meeting. • TV dialogue is clearer and TV volume has been reduced. • Bluetooth streaming works well. • Music and car audio sound cleaner and more detailed. • Overall comfort has improved substantially since Day 1.
Questions / Concerns: 1) Own Voice My own voice still sounds somewhat mechanical, artificial, and occasionally sharp. It remains distracting and sometimes makes me feel as though I am speaking louder than necessary. 2) Overall Sharpness of Sounds Speech understanding is improved, but some sounds seem overly sharp or harsh, including: • Voices • Running water • Dishes and silverware • Pots and pans • Glassware

My new Oticon hearing aids. I’ve had hearing aids before and did not like them, those aids just amplified noise did discriminate between ambient noise and speech. The Oticons do, comfortably, hearing people not ambient noise, in the car, ball games and restaurants. I really like them.
