Oticon Intent 1 miniRITE

I have a sound processing deficit and I can still hear but I can't filter surrounding noises from voices and sounds in general were muffled. I still needed hearing aids but I didn't want to lose that last bit of natural sound that I could hear. Everything I tried sounded synthetic and I just hated the sounds that were being filtered into my ears. This Oticon set was perfect. I could hear the rain clear and crisp! The sound is completely natural and I can finally hear my family when they're several feet away and I'm doing the dishes!! I wouldn't be here though without Direct Hearing though because I was quoted at $7k out of pocket for these and I would never have been able to afford these. I am my happiest!

Despite the above being true, I found some difficulty with using my phone. My husband is helping me to understand the concepts of bluetooth use and the digital world in general. The initial appointment with a Direct Hearing technician after wearing the aides for several days was informative if I had a question but,unfortunately, I would not have been able to understand the instructions for putting the app on my phone. My husband did that for me during the session. It's probably an age thing but most of us requiring hearingaides are of an advanced age. You do not contact that person again with questions but are given a number to call to make an appointment with an audiologist if you have further issues. A bit impersonal.
