Best Value Hearing Aids: What Your Price Buys

If you are comparing best value hearing aids across a dozen open browser tabs, the number on the screen is one piece of what you are buying. The rest is what happens after the box arrives. Who programs your devices. What happens when one stops working in year three. What it costs you to change your mind. Those are the parts that decide whether a low price stays low.

The cheapest price and the best price are rarely the same thing

Price is the reason most people land on this page, and it should be. Hearing aids are a major purchase, and people typically wait about nine years after noticing a problem before they buy, often because of what they assume it will cost. Hearing Loss Association of America data puts that wait at nine years, and cost is the reason people give most.

So compare prices. Compare them hard. Compare the whole thing while you do it. A device that arrives unprogrammed, from a seller who cannot register the warranty, is not a cheaper version of the same purchase. It is a different purchase at a lower number.

Why the same authorized hearing aid costs less here

We sell the same devices the clinics sell, from the same manufacturers, for thousands less than clinics, because we are not carrying what a clinic carries. A clinic's price includes the building, the front desk, the waiting room and the appointment slot where somebody sits down across from you. That model earns its cost for people who want hands-on care. It is still overhead, and it lands inside the price of the hearing aid.

Our overhead is a phone line and a team of licensed hearing care providers who program your devices in the manufacturer's own software before the box ships. Same device, same software, same licensed professional doing the fitting, without the room.

That puts us in a specific place in the market. Traditional clinics give you licensed professionals, authorized devices and valid warranties, at a high price and on their schedule. Bare-bones online sellers give you a low number and little else, often unauthorized, with the warranty void before the package reaches you. We sit between the two: licensed professionals who program and fit after the sale, authorized retailer status, remote convenience and significant savings.

What every order includes

Every order carries the same four things, whichever model you choose and whatever it costs. This is the part of the price that does not appear in a price comparison.

What is included

What it covers

What it costs you

60-day risk-free trial

Try them at home for 60 days. If they are not right for you, return them for a full refund.

No restocking fees.

4-year manufacturer warranty

Manufacturer repairs and defects on prescription models, starting the day your devices are delivered.

Included in the price.

3-year loss and damage coverage

Replacement on most models when a device is lost or damaged beyond repair.

$495 per unit.

Unlimited remote adjustments

Your first fitting and every adjustment after it, by phone or video, with a licensed hearing care provider.

No time limits, no session caps.

The Sennheiser All-Day Clear is the exception across the lineup. As an over-the-counter device it carries a 1-year manufacturer warranty and 1-year loss and damage coverage, consistent with the OTC standard.

Four years of coverage is the line that separates a real price from a low listing, and it is worth knowing what those years pay for before you compare two numbers. Our breakdown of what hearing aid warranties cover walks through it. The short version: the warranty follows the device from an authorized retailer and does not follow one bought outside that chain, which is why an unauthorized listing can post a number we cannot match and should not want to.

If you found a lower price somewhere else

Call us and we will tell you what you are looking at.

We used to promise to beat any price a customer brought us. We stopped, because it was the wrong promise. It turned the conversation into a negotiation over a single figure and away from the things that decide whether you are still happy in year three. It also meant the best price went to the customer who arrived with a competitor's screenshot rather than to the customer who simply trusted us.

What replaces it is simpler. Our prices are posted on every product page, the same price for everyone, no haggling and no code to hunt for. You can browse hearing aids and see them. If you bring us a lower price from somewhere else, a product specialist will walk you through what that price does and does not include, what the seller's authorization status means for your warranty, and what you would be giving up. If that seller turns out to be the better fit for you, we will say so.

Common questions

Do you still offer a best price guarantee or price match?

No. We post one price for everyone rather than matching offers case by case. What we stand behind instead is what the price includes: the 60-day trial, the manufacturer warranty, loss and damage coverage and unlimited remote adjustments for the life of your devices.

What happens if my hearing aids stop working?

Prescription models carry a 4-year manufacturer warranty from the delivery date, and most carry 3-year loss and damage coverage with a $495 per unit deductible. Replacements keep the original warranty start date, and the damaged device comes back to us before a replacement ships. Our hearing aid support team handles the process.

Can I return them if they are not right for me?

Yes. Hearing aids come back within 60 days of delivery for a full refund, with no restocking fees. Returns need to be received within 60 days rather than postmarked, light wear from your trial is expected, and all chargers, cables and manuals come back with them.

Do I need an audiogram before I order?

You need one or the other: an audiogram from any licensed hearing professional, or our free online hearing test, which takes about 5 to 10 minutes and works as a screening rather than a clinical diagnosis. You can upload your audiogram through our site, email it or fax it. California customers submit an audiogram from a licensed hearing professional, because the online test does not take its place there.

Do you offer financing?

Financing is available for qualifying customers through CareCredit subject to credit approval and its own terms. We also accept personal financing from your bank or credit union, and we accept HSA and FSA funds, though you should check your own plan's rules before you order. See our financing options for details.
