TL;DR The Phonak Audéo EON arrives August 24, 2026. All seven models are ready to order from Direct Hearing. Three EON Sphere tiers carry a second AI chip for speech in noise. Four EON R tiers run a single chip for less. Call us and we will price your tier.
Phonak's newest platform is here. The Phonak Audéo EON arrives August 24, 2026. All seven models land in our Phonak hearing aids lineup the same day. Two chip designs, four price tiers, one phone call to sort out which is yours. Every one ships pre-programmed to your hearing profile, fit remotely by a licensed hearing care provider. Here is what the Phonak Audéo EON gives you, and what it takes to own one.

What You Get With the Phonak Audéo EON
Phonak built EON on two chip designs, and that split drives the whole buying decision. Here is what the company confirms so far.
-
Spheric Speech Clarity 3.0 reaches the 50 tier. On the EON Sphere line, Phonak's AI speech processing now starts lower in the range.
-
Auracast broadcast reception on every model. Phonak lists all seven as Auracast broadcast enabled.
-
WindBlock 2.0 at every tier. Phonak's 2026 field study reports 95 percent of users found outdoor listening easier.
-
AutoSense OS AI 8.0 on both designs. Phonak says it holds speech programs longer through quiet stretches.
-
Up to 38 hours of battery, the figure Phonak states for the EON Sphere.
That AutoSense change is the one wearers tend to notice first. Older platforms dropped out of speech mode during lulls in conversation. Version 8.0 stays put, per Phonak.

The Sphere earns its premium in one situation. Loud rooms full of overlapping voices.
-
Restaurants, parties and busy family gatherings
-
Group meetings where several people talk at once
-
Anywhere you currently give up and nod along
If none of those describe your week, the R line will likely carry you.
The R line covers more ground than people expect.
-
Quiet homes, one-on-one conversation, television and phone calls
-
Wearers who stream a lot and sit in noise rarely
-
Anyone with unaidable loss in one ear, since the R pairs with CROS E
That last point matters. The EON Sphere is not CROS compatible. For a CROS solution, the R line is your only EON option.

Every Phonak Audéo EON Model, Ready to Order
Phonak Audéo EON pricing follows the tier ladder. Tiers step down from the 90 to the 30 at entry.
The Sphere models, all carrying the dual chip:
-
The Audéo EON Sphere 90 is the premium tier, with Spheric Speech Clarity at highest strength
-
Step down to the Audéo EON Sphere 70 for the same dual chip at high strength
-
New this generation, the Audéo EON Sphere 50 brings Spheric processing to the standard tier
The R models, all running the single ERA chip:
-
The Audéo EON R 90 tops the single-chip line, with Dynamic Noise Cancellation and Tap Control
-
Everyday noise management sits with the Audéo EON R 70
-
For moderate social activity, choose the Audéo EON R 50
-
The Audéo EON R 30 covers quiet rooms, television and phone calls
What It Takes to Own One
Hearing care splits three ways, and the tradeoffs are real.

Traditional clinics |
Licensed professionals and valid warranties, at a high price |

Direct Hearing |
Licensed professionals, authorized retailer, remote convenience, real savings |
|
Bare-bones online sellers |
Low prices, no professional support, often unauthorized and voided warranties |
We are an authorized online retailer. An EON bought here is the same sealed device a clinic sells. Your savings come out of our overhead, never out of your care. That is how the same authorized devices land thousands less than clinics.
What that does not mean:
-
Not the cheapest, and we do not try to be
-
No clinics, and no hearing evaluations performed here
-
No quoted figures for what a local clinic charges
Phonak restricts how retailers display prices on current-generation models. That is why some pages show a phone number where a figure would go. Call and we will price your tier on the spot. Financing runs through CareCredit and PayPal Bill Me Later, for qualifying customers, subject to credit approval.
How a Brand New Platform Gets Fit Remotely
A launch-day platform raises a fair question. Can it be fit properly without a clinic visit?
Remote fitting is neither new nor improvised. The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association has recognized telepractice in audiology as an appropriate service-delivery model since 2005. A crossover trial in the International Journal of Audiology found remote follow-up matched in-person care.
Here is how a Phonak Audéo EON order runs.
-
Send us an audiogram, or take our free online hearing test
-
A licensed hearing care provider programs your devices to that profile
-
Your hearing aids ship pre-programmed and ready to wear
-
The first fitting happens by phone or video, at a time you pick
-
Adjustments stay unlimited, with no session caps and no time limits
Worth saying plainly: remote care suits most people and not everyone. A 2024 paper in the same journal found about two in three still preferred in-person fitting. If you want hands-on care, a local clinic is the right call. We will tell you so.

Questions Buyers Are Asking About the EON Launch
When can I buy a Phonak Audéo EON?
The platform arrives August 24, 2026, and our seven product pages go live alongside it. Ordering opens the same day. Devices ship once a licensed hearing care provider has programmed them to your audiogram. That step usually adds a couple of days. It is why your hearing aids work straight out of the box.
Should I wait for EON or buy an Infinio now?
Depends on what you sit in. If loud restaurants are your problem, EON Sphere is the stronger platform. If your listening is mostly quiet, an Infinio Ultra may serve you just as well. Call us and describe a hard week. We would rather sell you the right tier than the newest one.
Should I pick an EON R 90 or an EON Sphere 50?
Tier number and platform are two different things. The R 90 tops the single-chip line, with no Spheric Speech Clarity at all. The Sphere 50 enters the dual-chip line, with Spheric processing at moderate strength. If loud rooms are your problem, the chip matters more than the badge. Call Direct Hearing and we will compare both against your hearing.
Will my EON hearing aids work with Auracast?
Phonak lists every EON model as Auracast broadcast enabled, so all seven can receive a broadcast. Real-world venue support is still patchy and rolls out by region. Airports, theaters and gyms are adding it gradually. Direct Hearing flags Auracast readiness on every EON product page. Your devices are ready before most venues are.
Is a hearing test required before ordering?
Yes. Every EON model is a prescription device, so we need an audiogram to program it. Send one from any licensed hearing professional, or take our free online screening. The screening is not a clinical diagnosis. It is enough for us to recommend a tier and program your devices correctly.
